Hi-Five Sports North Suburban Campus is located at 315 Waukegan Rd. in Northfield. The Chicago Campus is located at Whitney Young Magnet High School campus, 211 South Laflin, in the heart of Chicago's booming West Loop Gate District. Facilities are extensive, including an indoor air-conditioned camper activity center, gymnasium, and swimming pool, which allow us to continue our program rain or shine. The Western Suburban Campus is located at Westmont’s 36 acre Ty Warner Park.
We provide a safe, encouraging, fun, yet
challenging environment in which children can experience
team sports. The Hi-Five Sports Camp experience should
be remembered for the high energy level of our instructors
and the positive effect our camp has on one's self-esteem.
We believe athletics builds confidence and ultimately provides
a focus that is important all through life.
Our unique concept for children
ages 6 to 13, focuses on the five major team sports…baseball, basketball,
volleyball, soccer, and touch football. Our campers learn
skills at daily "teaching stations" and have
the opportunity to "shine" during games. Campers
play on fields that "fit." We call these the "Field
of Dreams," which include shorter football and soccer
fields, lower baskets and shorter courts, lower volleyball
nets, and a "kid-sized" baseball field. The camp
is divided into three age groups. Each camper is placed
on a college team within each age division. Three afternoons
a week, during optional activities, campers may again choose
to specialize in one of the five major team sports, or
a variety of activities which include archery, tetherball,
floor hockey, capture the flag, a recreational swim and
much, much more.
Experienced coaches, educators and
college and high school athletes work with our campers to ensure
a quality experience.
Our goal is to promote fun while learning. Campers are
given the opportunity to succeed through positive reinforcement
and personalized instruction. We promote the proper fundamentals
and techniques while always maintaining
a sense of humor.
By choosing this (extra cost)
option, campers will enjoy outstanding, hot cuisine.
Campers are also welcome to "brown
bag" their lunches, which are promptly refrigerated.
Every Friday is our famous "Hi-Five Cookout," featuring
our very famous Chef. Chef says the cookout
is for everyone. "It's included in your camp fees!"
Once
every four weeks, Hi-Five rewards all of its campers for
their efforts and achievements, both on and off the
playing field. We conclude each session with out Awards
Extravaganza and professional video presentation (of
course, parents are invited).
Campers compete in a wide variety of
contests, games, and special events every Friday.
We provide door-to-door transportation to and from camp
and for all field trips, subject to the following boundaries*
for the Chicago Campus: 4200 North to 57th St. South, and
Lake Shore Drive to 2400 West and the Village of Oak Park.
Campers not residing within the above-stated boundaries
will receive a $25 credit for four weeks and $40 for six
weeks. The credit will be applied to camp fees.
*Boundaries are subject to change based on camper enrollment.
